Fall Photos

This morning was a quintessential Fall day - crisp air and foliage full of vibrant color. It was a wonderful backdrop for photographing little Sibella and her parents.

In The Studio

My generous and lovely friend is letting me work in her photo studio and I am so appreciative. I have been shooting on location for so long which made this a real treat to do something new and play around. I took one of my favorite models along -- my darling niece. One of my many adorable nieces!!! You'll be seeing more from this time in the studio soon....

Perfect Setting

The setting for my last shoot was so idyllic that I had to dress Ava up and take her there and try to snap off some pictures...what do they say about the 'best laid plans...?' She ran, I chased. A few still moments captured.

A Hard Edit

I am having the worst time of it trying to decide which pictures to post from today's shoot. I'm just starting the editing process, but I'll post a couple here...they may continue to get tweaked, but you'll get the idea.

Today I'm doing another fun family photoshoot with their two daughters. I can't wait to post a few in the next couple of days...start calling for holiday card pictures now! Its not to soon to start planning.

Our Neighbors Yard

Sam Four

How lucky am I? I got to take pictures of little Sam Four this past week. He's the 4th in a long line of Sams. I adore him and his family so this was really fun for me.

The Bride & Groom

The Monday of Labor Day weekend I had the honor of shooting a friend's wedding. Her twin boys had some much personality I was sneaking in shots of them between all the other important events. The bride, of course, was stunningly radiant - as all brides are on their special day!

Today was the first day of school!!!!! It was SO fun. I hope to have pictures to post soon...I didn't have my camera, but one of the others parents pitched in and took some for us. Highlights included coloring, pushing a shopping cart around with play food inside the 'kitchen' and going up and down the 3 stairs over and over again.

Forest Grove

Oh, what a wonderful time we had visiting our friends in Oregon. I had a terrific time with my best friend from college and her family. Of course, I had to pull out my camera. Her girls were so excited! Was I this self-assured at twelve? Surely not.

Mother & Daughter

I can't imagine that Ava will ever be this age where we will sit together for a mother-daughter portrait. There is such a strong resemblance between Amy and Lauren. I wonder if there will be any between us when Ava is 12?

Shafer Vinyards

Each time we visit our friends in Oregon we stop by this local winery...it is such a beautiful location to spend some time...and the wine isn't bad either. We took the time to get a family photo...it seems I rarely have the camera pointed at me these days, but I can't forget to get these photos of our whole family.
