I am trying to take photos almost everyday, both to capture Ava's constant changing and to practice and hone my photography skills.

Ava's had a cold so we haven't taken a lot of pictures this week. Instead, here is a little video we shot while on Vacation last month in Mexico. Featured is Ms Ava and her favorite toy.

To The Mountains

We went to the mountains this weekend with our friends, Geoff & Amy and their daughter, Sofia. The girls were so cute playing together and by the end of the weekend they were getting into all kinds of mischief together.

Playdates & Signing

We had a lovely playdate today with our new friends Connor and Carmela. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take any pictures of Connor and Ava together because we were too busy playing, but we will certainly get some soon. We also had our last sign language class today and all the babies (and parents) graduated.

Our picture of the day is of Ava playing on the floor at Grandma's house in the morning. I look at her face and want to memorize the way she looks right at this moment in time because she is changing and growing so fast.

The Ballerina

Just decided to put on our tutu and take some pictures. Ava has another year or two before she starts ballet classes, but that doesn't stop us from dressing the part now.

My best friend was a ballerina and has a very poised and graceful manner about her - not to mention perfect posture. I played many sports, but may have benefitted from this one for I am one big sloucher!

Mexico

Finally, after much, much too long, the Loop family has taken a true, warm weather vacation. We are back from a relaxing week with family in Mexico. This was a trip we had planned for this time last year, but since I was relegated to bed, we had to postpone.

We all had a great time and Ms Ava turned out to be quite the traveller making friends all along the way. Ava enjoyed sharing the house for the week with her grandparents and cousins, Kaija & Kendall...as there were always fun people around to play with. Highlights of the trip for Ava included a chance for swimming everyday. Up until now she thought that the bathtub was the be all end all! Dining out took on a whole new meaning since almost everywhere we went we were serenaded at our tables.

I got an early birthday present - a new 50mm lens. Here are a few test shots from the trip.
