We met our friends this afternoon and headed to the outdoor market. I get such pleasure watching all our daughters together knowing that when we were just a little older than this ourselves we were sharing our childhoods.

You Are So Beautiful To Me

Today's photoshoot was wonderful....not only did these gals LOVE to pose and have their pictures taken, but Ava took her nap right on schedule and we did the whole job while she was sleeping. I could not have asked for better models. They were poised AND beautiful.

A friend of ours gave us a little yellow plastic bird that looks and sounds and moves so much like a real bird. We keep it in Ava's room on the shelf over her changing table. It has a motion sensor so when we walk into her bedroom it starts chirping at us as if to say hello. Ava loves this so!

Photoshoot Times Two

Today I did two separate photoshoots and there were two of us shooting each of them. This made for such a fun morning. Here are a couple of favorites from the second shoot of the day with an adorable brother & sister:

This evening some lovely neighbors invited all the families on the street 'with kids' to come and meet eachother at a BBQ at their home. I really thought there were no other kids on our street, but it turns out there are some great folks within walking distance who are serious playdate contenders!

Somehow I managed to do a photoshoot today between rainclouds, raindrops and teardrops. I did a mother, daughter, grand-daughter photo session. Unfortunately the baby was under-the-weather, but we still managed to get a few nice pictures out of the day. Its hard to choose my favorites, but here are a few...

This Time Last Year

I was purusing through my June 07 photo files and came across the photoshoot pics I did of Ava with all her babyshower gifts. This series has always brought a smile to my face. This toy dog is still a favorite today. And, in fact, the gift-giver herself, is about to have her first baby.
